This resort has a traditionally Germanic feel and is full of natural charm and Bavarian friendliness. This is an excellent resort for beginners, intermediates and families due to the prevalence of nursery slopes and gentler runs. However, there are some more challenging pieces of piste for more experienced skiers and snowboarders too.

If downhill skiing is not for you, there are plenty of Nordic trails running through scenic landscapes in the area. There are over seventeen miles of trails in total, which become excellent hiking routes in the summer, when you can explore the whole region and enjoy the fresh air and mountains. Some of the larger ski lifts are open in the warmer months too, to allow walkers to travel to the top of the mountains to relax and enjoy the views with a refreshing drink.

There are plenty of excellent places to stay in Bayrischzell, from charming Bavarian guesthouses to modern Alpine hotels. The guesthouses offer a traditional atmosphere with typical German hospitality. These timbered lodges are often family-run and offer comfortable hotel rooms with a Bavarian flair. With their wooden décor and brightly colored walls and traditional Bavarian country style, you will get a real taste for this region's vibrant culture.
